The scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, singing with a little bird perched on her hand, can be recreated here. This bird sings whenever imagination allows.
The chaffinch is a very common bird along the levadas of our island of Madeira, and it was this simple, close-to-nature presence that inspired me.
This sculpture was made from wool, with a lot of patience… and a few aches of pain. The needle pricks sharply, and few works demand so much dedication and care.
